Over the years I've come to understand one thing: change is not always easy. From my time as a Community Assistant to my most recent role as a Director of Operations Support, I've observed or been directly affected by almost every type of change in the Student Housing sphere. The secret sauce to overcoming any type of transition is the ability to adapt and communicate. Adaptability and proper communication is needed at all levels of an organization in order to stay afloat and competitive in this industry. 

My journey, like many others, has taken twists and turns through the sales, training and operations sectors, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I'm passionate about authenticity, recognition and not cutting corners. I understand that approaches differ from company to company and project to project so know we will tailor our style to fit your style. Let's build something special together!

Ayla Langer is a Chicago-based freelance writer and consultant who specializes in early-stage investments and entrepreneurship. Her written work covers market trends across industries, with a special focus on topics in foodservice and CPG. She currently consults with companies such as the Sustainable Local Food Investment Group and Slow Food Chicago, and she founded and operates a website, Il Caffè Americano, that explores food culture topics. Ayla is passionate about helping companies maximize their growth potential by telling impactful, data-centric stories. Outside of these ventures, she is active in Chicago’s music scene as an accomplished professional classical singer. Ayla is very excited to work with Shannon and the SFive Team as a contributor!

Yardayna Ben-Simon is currently a sophomore at Barnard College in New York City studying Economics. She is a freelance writer for HerCampus, a blog and social media community that spans across campuses nationwide. Yardayna is also VP of Band for Tamid, a consulting education group at Columbia University, and she serves as the Lead Ambassador for The Women's Network. She also connects with the NYC lower-school communities as a Lead Instructor for SproutUp and as an assistant Hebrew School teacher. Yardayna is passionate about healthy eating and exercise and has translated this passion into her home-run food business, Yardelicious. Yardayna is excited to work with the SFive team as a contributing blog and content writer!

Kingston is a Chicago-based mini Goldendoodle who specializes in scheduling and change management. He is a natural introvert who loves a good routine.  Kingston is primarily responsible for supporting visitors, taking breaks, and controlling when the workday starts and ends. Kingston is passionate about SFive's benefits package, city walks, his Petzi treat machine, his toy chicken, and his mom. "My job is to lay around and ensure all meetings and general breaks stay on track. Even if I did have a choice, I would still pick working for SFive."
